SURFACE presents the design work of Melissa D’Agostino and Bela Shehu
and photographs of Julia Blaukopf in support of The Reading Viaduct Project.
Featuring Melissa D’Agostino’s shibori hand-dyed one-of-a-kind silk and knit clothing, scarves and mens’ ties, D’Agostino Fashion Textile Design, along side Bela Shehu’s elegant, architectural line of women’s apparel, NINOBRAND, and the social photography of Julia Blaukopf.
5:00 -7:00 PM | Exclusive Fashion Show | Wine, hors d’oeuvre, art and fashion. Engage in conversation with the clothing designers, the founders of the Reading Viaduct Project and the members of SURFACE in an elegant former Victorian Mansion followed by an exclusive fashion show on the grand staircase.
7:00 -9:00 PM | Public Reception | Photography Installation, Viaduct renderings by Studio Bryan Haynes, wine, & an opportunity to chat with the individuals and designers behind the fashion design and The Reading Viaduct Project.
The event will be held at CITYSPACE. Please note that this is a ticketed event. All proceeds benefit the Reading Viaduct Project and support the mission of a neighborhood park along the elevated Viaduct — as well as the vision of a three-mile linear park through center city and connecting diverse neighborhoods and institutions, supported by various advocacy groups.
